Pinal County Public Defender
Attorney
Nate Wade is a Deputy Public Defender in Pinal County and Co-Chair of the Legislative and Policy Committee for Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice.  Nate received his law degree from the University of Arizona.  While in law school, Nate spent 2 years clerking at the Pima County Public Defender's office and one year as a Legal Intern for the Arizona House Democratic Party at the state legislature.  After law school, Nate clerked for the Hon. Sarah Simmons, Presiding Judge in Pima County before rejoining the Pima County PD as a felony trial attorney for 7 years.  Nate's experience at the legislature gave him a passion to work to reform our overly harsh and punitive criminal justice system and he considers working to reform the system on a larger to focus on restorative justice and access to services and treatment part of his obligation as a public defender.  Nate is also a member of the AZ State Bar Criminal Policy and Procedure Committee and dog dad to Penny.
